Busy Second Day

Our second day at the Rhoton's started out something like this...

Morning time spent with the kiddos.

Then we made chocolate covered pretzels with the kids.

In the afternoon it was cuddle time with the Remington Bear!

In the evening I made vegetable lasagna!  It was very good :)

The boys passed the time on the IPad until Aunt Boo and Christopher got in town.

We finished up the night with a game of Pictionary!  Elliott even played :)

It was a good day all around :)

Busy First Day!

Our day started off something like this....

Breakfast with Mallory and Elliott :) I was totally shocked when I saw Mallory!  She has grown up so much since I last saw her!

Then the kids made party mix for all the guests that are coming :)  It was sooo good by the way :)

In the afternoon, we just kind of relaxed and hung out together :)

In the evening we all had dinner together and then it was time to open some presents!

Elliott got some really cool outfits to pretend in... a fire fighter, police man, surgeon, cowboy, and boy scout.  I personally thought this was a very creative idea by Dan's Mom :)  Elliott seemed to love it!

Mallory got lots of new clothes and some toys to play with involving her baby dolls...

But, she too enjoyed the new outfits :)

We gave Pam the present that I made her... I think that she really loved it :)  The actual present cannot be shown since I still have 3 more to give out :)  I will probably do a post over the process of making of them after Christmas is over with.

And lastly, I'll leave you with my favorite present from the Rhoton's!  A garden stone of Remington!!!!!!  It was handmade!!!!

Isn't it AWESOME!  You just send in a picture of your pet and then the person makes it out of recycled tiles.  It is soooooo beautiful!  I love it so much!  Can't wait until I can put it out in my flower garden this summer :)

Off to the Lakes for Christmas with the Rhoton's!

After a long day at work for me and a REALLY long day at work for Dan (only getting 3 hours of sleep), we headed for Ohio with Grandpa Rhoton to celebrate Christmas with the Rhoton's.  It is always a really long drive... almost 3 and a half hours... but we always enjoy our time there.

The Rhoton decorations!

Remington all settled in!

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today is my sweet niece, Hannah's Birthday!  She is so very special to us and we love her to pieces!  For all of you reading this, please make sure to think of her today and hope that her Birthday is full of fun and magical moments!  We love you so very much Hannah!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH!

Phonathon Ice Skating

This weekend was the End of Semester Phonathon Party for my students.  They all voted that they wanted to go ice skating.  I have never been before so I was a little nervous.  It could be a little bit embarrassing to fall in front of them... but o'well!  I'm so proud of them this semester!  They were only $3,500 short of reaching our $115,000 goal!  They are such hard workers and do such good things for the University!  I couldn't ask for much better students :)

Anyways, here is our Sunday Ice Skating Adventure...

Getting ready to skate!!

There they go!

Lacing up the skates!

Looking good :)

One of my interns even made me this sweet card :)

It's the little things that mean sooo much :)

When I got home from the Phonathon Party it had snowed pretty hard in just a few hours.  Dan and Remington decided to run around in the snow for a little while.

"It's snowing DAD!"

"I'm ready to go inside now :)"

Lastly, on Friday I discovered that we had some company living in our house!  A SPIDER!  IN DECEMBER!  I was not a happy camper because I hate spiders, but Mom talked me into letting it live.  I mean, if it made it clear until December then I guess it deserved to live... even if I do constantly worry about him dropping on my head!!!

I named him Clive and he is living in our kitchen at the moment :)

Introducing... THOR!

A lot of people already know this about me.  I like naming things.  I've named every car I've ever had, as well as numerous friends cars, and plants... I especially enjoy naming plants :)  I know, I'm a weirdo but who cares!  Anyways, Debbie, a friend from work just recently brought in a new addition to our work place... a new plant :)  I have been struggling for days to figure out an appropriate name and FINALLY I did!  I informed Debbie that I wanted to name her plant Thor.  She was surprisingly okay with my decision!

I stayed late last night to work Phonathon and I happened to pass by her desk and saw this!!!  HAHAHA!  It made me laugh out loud :)

Welcome to our building Thor :)
