Winning Lottery Ticket

A bunch of us at work pitched in $5 a piece and got a bunch of lotto tickets. We figured our chances of winning was better together even if we did have to split it between us! All this lotto talk got me to thinking about what I would do with the money if we actually did win!

First things first... I would pay off Dan's students loans!!!


  Next, I would pay off my car and the house!


Then, I would put our current house up for sale, purchase a bunch of land, and then build our dream home! Not sure exactly what that would look like, but something like this in the middle of nowhere!


After that, I would probably put the rest in the bank and get myself a financial planner!!!

Oh yeah... and I would probably donate some to a Doodle Charity!

Cause I love my doodles!

Thankful Thursday (Lawn Mower)

Today I'm thankful for our lawn mower. My Mom and Dad just brought ours down after working on it this winter. Our yard was a bit of a jungle last week, but no more! After Dan mowed it our yard was the prettiest in the neighborhood... that's not saying much if you have seen many of our neighbors yards... but still it was nice!


The fertilizer company will be coming soon to do their yearly treatments which means Dan will be mowing more and more often. I'm sure he's looking forward to that :) Aren't you so happy Spring is finally here!

Breakfast Cookies

I found this on Pinterest of course and had to make it. It takes very little effort, time, or ingredients! I'm notorious for not eating breakfast on weekday mornings, so I'm hoping these will be a good way to slip something nutritious into my morning routine!


Breakfast Cookies (pinterest.com)

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup oats
  • 2 super ripe bananas
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • handful of craisins
Throw all ingredients together.


Mix it up.


Put on a baking sheet baking sheet for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.


They are super healthy for you!


I'm not sure what I would rate these.  They were okay, but I would prefer some donuts over these! They were however a good way to use my super ripe bananas!

Sick with a Case of Anxiety

I'm riddled with anxiety most days of my life. I blame it on my grandmother's genes rearing their ugly head in my body! It really doesn't matter how care free my day is... I always have something on my mind that is worrying me...

This week has been one of the worst I've had since that semester in college when I was taking 18 credit hours. I'll spare you the details of what's bothering me because you would probably think I'm crazy for getting so worked up over it, but let me tell you I really can't help it. I have been so anxious this week that I'm almost making myself sick... physically! People tell me to "just let it go" but folks that is much easier said than done.


As the following weeks come to an end I'm sure I will start to feel a little better... but until then I'm trying to "not sweat the small stuff" and to remember that "if it won't matter 10 years from now, then it doesn't matter today!"

Mileage Monday

Running stats for the week of March 19th - March 25th... I had good runs this week. My legs and lungs are feeling stronger with every run I do. There were times this week when I felt I could go longer, but I get scared of pushing too hard and getting injured. I know my body and that I need to build up gradually or else I'll regret it. Most of my runs were done at night this week because it was in the high 80's during the day. I absolutely LOVE night time runs. Everything is so peaceful and quiet. I never run with music at night because I feel I need to be more alert of cars, animals, and just everything in general. There's something special about having no music when you run... you can listen to your foot fall, your breathing patterns, and everything else around you. It's always a nice break from music in your ear :)

Thankful Thursday (80 Degrees in March)

OH SNAP! I almost forgot my to write what I'm thankful for today! Today I'm thankful for this amazing weather we have been having. It's March and where I live we should be in the lower 50's... but it has been hitting 80 degrees most days this week and some last week! HOLLA!

Year of Dates : March 2012

For March Dan picked a "Stay at Home" date. This date was pretty low key. It was basically a puzzle night. No phones, TV, or other distractions were allowed... just us, the puzzle, and some good conversation!

An hour later, this was how far we had gotten...



We kept working thinking we would make more progress.... didn't happen...


After another couple hours... our date started not being so fun... we took a break... we decided we would continue working on it when we had time...

Mileage Monday

Running stats for the week of March 12th - March 18th... perfect weather this week. Got some good runs in. My last run this week was not fun... I got a cramp in my right calf that I could not get rid of! I had to keep stopping to stretch it out. Very annoying!

I'm trying to get more familiar with the app Intstagram. I know this app is old news, but I really haven't had much practice with it.  My cousin uses it a lot and her pictures always look so good and artsy. (Yes Les, I'm talking about you) I take most of my photo a day pictures with my IPhone only because its with me 24/7, so I figured why not try something a little new...

Canal Walk

Dan took Remington and I for a walk on the canal during my Spring Break. I love going down there, but we just never really have the time. It was the most absolute perfect day for a trip down there. Not too hot, sunny, and a light breeze!



Remi was ready to go right away!

These two are inseparable!





There were geese that hated Remington, ducks everywhere, fish swimming around and flowers blooming! I would say Spring has finally arrived!

Remi was pretty tired by the end of his canal walk, but I think he loved every minute of it!
